Very well maintained, overnight staff was super helpful. I really liked how only hotel guests have access to the parking lot across the street. Made it pleasantly safe and gives one a feeling of reassurance that your vehicle won’t be tampered within the city.

Our room was a nice size with two queen beds, a desk, closet, and coffee maker. The mattress was very firm. The bathroom is a normal size. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The parking garage is adjacent to the hotel, connected with a walkway. It is $24 extra per day. Restaurants and coffee shops are in walking distance, as well as Yale University.

Great location approx. 10 mins away on foot from New Haven Train Station. Easy and short walk to Yale campus and the downtown area. Walgreens/Starbucks/dining options, etc. all within close proximity. My room was comfortable, spacious, great bathroom with a tub and also a handheld shower. Very nice interior, kind staff, the lobby looked great, water refill stations available. The area was safe and peaceful at night, I did not encounter any issues whatsoever. I enjoyed my stay at this property, and I would definitely recommend it to other visitors. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay at the New Haven Hotel! The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The location is fantastic, with Yale University just a short walk away, making it ideal for exploring the campus and nearby attractions. Parking was convenient, too – there’s a garage across the street with a direct walkway to the hotel. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend!

The hotel is barebones but the staff was friendly at check-in and checkout and for any needs. (For example, our hairdryer didn't work and it was fixed immediately). The rooms are a little tired (the carpet is torn at the edges etc...) but are very big. We were on the top floor and had a nice view of the city. The location is super central and useful. The parking was convenient but expensive (~$25 a day). Seemed like the best value for money in New Haven.

We arrived at the New Haven Hotel after a fair journey and were able to unload our luggage easily in their enclosed drop-off - after checking in and a short settling in, we took the car to the car park which was joined to the hotel by a secure foot bridge. We were almost in the heart of New Haven and were able to get about easily by foot from the hotel lobby, that said, taking the car in and out was also very easy and never felt like we were anything more than in the hotel car park (excellent location). The room was spacious with a desk, wardrobe and comfortable beds and a good size, well lit bathroom. On an upper floor was a small gym for guest use and beyond that was a laundry room that we made good use of during our stay. Thank you to all the staff at the New Haven Hotel.

There was no breakfast, per se. There was a shop in the lobby that offered some food but it was not really a cafe or restaurant. There was a garage, but see below.

Everything was pretty good, location excellent and I loved the draft beer and market options available by reception. Laundry detergent dispenser didn’t work but front desk quickly remedied, is a known issue apparently. And laundry machines themselves seemed to work grea, a real bonus to be able to do laundry easy. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Great location and very spacious room. An excellent option for Yale visitors. Direct access to parking, but recommend checking the details in advance to end up in the right parking. For some reason when I booked there was an option to book with breakfast which actually is not available. However, the staff handled the issue well by providing items from the lobby market which I appreciated due to my tight morning schedule. The coffee maker in the room was good, I really enjoyed the coffee.

We had a double queen room that was huge. Beds were comfortable. Self parking across the street was easy. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped take my luggage to my room as I was juggling two kids. Aircon was abit noisy but it didn’t bother us. I requested a quiet room and it was perfect, no street noise. Walking distance (10mins) to Yale tour. My husband worked remotely in the lounge downstairs (PowerPoints available at tables).
